Discovering the Semantics of User Keywords
نویسندگان
چکیده
The sense discovering step searches Swoogle [2], WordNet [3] and other ontology repositories to find ontological terms that match those keywords. The system builds a sense for each URI obtained with the information retrieved from matching terms in the ontology pool [1]. As matching terms could be ontology classes, properties or individuals, three lists of possible senses are associated with each keyword k: Sk, Sk and Sk.

Hierarchical Fuzzy Clustering Semantics (HFCS) in Web Document for Discovering Latent Semantics
This paper discusses about the future of the World Wide Web development, called Semantic Web. Undoubtedly, Web service is one of the most important services on the Internet, which has had the greatest impact on the generalization of the Internet in human societies. Internet penetration has been an effective factor in growth of the volume of information on the Web. The massive growth of informat...
متن کاملApplication of Frame Semantics to Teaching Seeing and Hearing Vocabulary to Iranian EFL Learners
A term in one language rarely has an absolute synonymous meaning in the same language; besides, it rarely has an equivalent meaning in an L2. English synonyms of seeing and hearing are particularly grammatically and semantically different. Frame semantics is a good tool for discovering differences between synonymous words in L2 and differences between supposed L1 and L2 equivalents. Vocabulary ...
متن کاملQueryGen: Semantic interpretation of keyword queries over heterogeneous information systems
In the last years, users have become used to keyword-based search interfaces due to their ease of use. By matching input keywords against huge amounts of textual information and labeled multimedia files, current search engines satisfy most of users’ information needs. However, the principal problem of this kind of search is the semantic gap between the input and the real user need, as keywords ...
متن کاملFrom Keywords to Queries: Discovering the User's Intended Meaning
Regarding web searches, users have become used to keywordbased search interfaces due to their ease of use. However, this implies a semantic gap between the user’s information need and the input of search engines, as keywords are a simplification of the real user query. Thus, the same set of keywords can be used to search different information. Besides, retrieval approaches based only on syntact...
متن کاملDiscovering and Merging Keyword Senses using Ontology Matching
During the last years we are witnessing how the use of keywords has become the standard input when searching the Web. As opposite to the syntactic searches performed by traditional web search engines, the current research challenge is a semantics-guided information retrieval. The increasing pools of ontologies available on the Web can help to discover the semantics of user keywords and this inf...
